Kolping India has been working for the welfare and holistic growth of the Kolping members by implementing development projects to address their pressing social, economic issues and environmental challenges. Kolping India development projects are focused on Poverty reduction, with all its initiatives designed to enhance key development indicators that contribute to improved ‘Quality of Life’ for its members.
The projects are aimed at building the capacities of the Kolping members through learning opportunities for building knowledge, enhancing skills, and developing self-confidence among the marginalized community groups. Besides educating the members, Kolping India has introduced specific projects like Individual Income Generation Project (IIGP), Collective Income Generation Project (CIGP), Sanitation Assistant Project (SAP), Housing Support Project (HSP), Vocational Training Project (VTP) and Emergency relief activities.

The capacities of the marginalised communities are enhanced through formation of Kolping Family Associations also called Kolping Self-Help Groups that functions as Community-Based Organisations (CBOs).

The Livelihood projects are aimed at improving the economic conditions of Kolping members by supporting them with technical and financial assistance to initiate or diversify income generation activities which generate additional income for the family.

Access to basic sanitation and safe housing is a fundamental right that significantly impacts health, dignity, and overall social wellbeing. Still a significant percentage of Kolping Members in India was found to lack adequate sanitation and housing.

Climate Change is a critical issue for governments, organizations, and individuals worldwide in the context of its impact on human population. Drastic lifestyle changes are the need of the hour to mitigate its impact, promote sustainability, and ensure a sustainable future for all living in present and the generations to come.

Kolping India time to time initiates special projects to support the most marginalised Tribals and Fisherfolks communities to overcome systemic barriers and achieve sustainable livelihoods. These projects, often provide critical resources to the deserving families.
