Vision

Just and Empowered Society based on the values of Blessed Adolph Kolping

Mission

Enhancing the capacities of the marginalized communities in India for Holistic Development

Kolping India supports the Kolping Family Associations (Self Help Groups) to improve their quality of life in areas like education, skill development, health, sanitation, livelihood, shelter and disaster relief.

The primary intervention of Kolping India lies in poverty reduction which is manifested in many forms. The multi- dimensional poverty could be simply stated as denial of opportunities. Kolping India continues to uphold its mission of empowering the marginalised community groups through education, information dissemination, socio-economic project support, handholding, facilitating networking and linkages to services.

The development projects are directly implemented in 33 regions across 5 States with the support of Collaborative Partner Organisations (CPOs) in the respective regions. In order to leverage the resources and expertise of other organizations, Kolping India networks with Institutions such as Schools, Colleges, Universities, Research Institutes and Non-Profit Organisations to serve people more efficiently and effectively.

Guiding Principles

What is too difficult for individuals and what they often fail to achieve becomes feasible without much effort when joined forces supporting and strengthening each other pursue their goals.

The guiding principles of Kolping India is derived from the above quote of our founder Bl. Adolph Kolping. Individuals from marginalized communities who are deprived of basic needs and opportunities for development, tend to play a mutual supportive role when they are formed into a collective as Kolping Family. The Kolping Family provides its members a platform for collective discernment which in due course of time bind the members together, developing ‘One Heart and Mind’ under the discreet identity of Kolping Family. The members in group share ideas, opinions, feedback, and solutions in a supportive environment, leading to collective decision and shared responsibilities to resolve the issues of the group and the community.
