Ancy’s life took a positive turn when she joined the St. Sebastian’s Kolping Family in 2018. Through which she attended various training sessions that helped her gain knowledge, life skills, and confidence. The support from Kolping Family encouraged her to explore ways to improve her family’s living conditions. One of the major challenges Ancy and her daughters, faced was the lack of a household toilet. The family had to rely on a relative’s toilet, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable, particularly for the adolescent girls.
Ancy longed to build a toilet for her family, but given their financial situation, her husband was not in favour of the idea. Ancy’s aspirations took a step toward reality when she learned about Kolping India’s Sanitation Assistance Project. Recognizing the importance of proper sanitation for dignity and hygiene, she convinced her husband and went ahead planning the budget. With Kolping India’s assistance, her dream began to materialize.
