Dr. Maria Soosai holds a Postgraduate in Social Work and a Doctorate in Management Studies from Loyola College, Chennai and completed specialized research studies at the TATA Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai.

He is a thorough development professional and has held several leadership positions in the NGO sector. He was unanimously elected as the National Director of Kolping India in 2019 for a five-year term and was re-elected for a second term in 2024, a testament to his visionary leadership and dedication. He also serves an Executive Board Member of Kolping International, Germany.

Prior to his national and international roles, Dr. Maria Soosai served as the Director of Kolping Kottar, where he played a pivotal role in community development initiatives. He has also extended his expertise as a Development Consultant and Trainer, closely collaborating with Kolping India’s programs to enhance organizational effectiveness and grassroots impact.

His core expertise lies in Organizational Development, Conflict Management, and Leadership Training, empowering teams and institutions to achieve sustainable growth. Under his guidance, Kolping India has expanded its reach, strengthened its programs, and deepened its impact on marginalized communities.
